Join us on a journey through the 1994 Kenner Toy Fair Catalog, which offered a first look at Kenner’s latest toys. For instance, readers had the chance to view their latest Batman, ALIENS, Predator, and Jurassic Park toys.
The 1994 Kenner Toy Fair Catalog provided information about the Jurassic Park action figures, dinosaurs, vehicles, and playsets. After Steven Spielberg awed audiences with his 1993 film, the public was hungry for dinosaur action. So, Kenner provided a large selection of toys based on this hit film. Even today, these figures remain highly desirable by fans and collectors.

Here, Kenner presented No. 61017, Jurassic Park Explorer Vehicle, the main JURASSIC PARK vehicle featured in the movie. This one packed a flip-up launcher that allowed fans to fire a blood-sampling missile and then “analyze” a dinosaur’s D.N A. An angry beast could rip the hood off and CHOMP, Dino-Damage bite marks inside.
Next, they promoted No. 61018, Jurassic Park Capture Copter Vehicle, which provided air support when dinosaurs ran loose. Players could fire a Tranq-Missile and then drop the net to capture the dinosaur. Moreover, the hook and pulley reeled the captured dinosaur up and away to safety. This vehicle also had a unique look that let fans know it was the official JURASSIC PARK chopper.
Finally, they promoted No. 61020, Jurassic Park Command Compound Playset. This was where it all went down in the movie. The electronic computer allowed fans to know when security had been breached, along with over a hundred action-packed phrases and commands. Furthermore, it included a net catapult, missile launcher, electronic dinosaur probe, hatchery, break-away gate, six fence pieces, and a three-story main building, just like the movie.
If the alarm light began flashing, Dinosaurs had broken through the fence. Otherwise, the computer voice might get frantic, indicating that they had entered the compound. If Dino-Damage was visible on the building, they were inside. So players needed to get ’em out and take control of the park.

About Our Kenner Toy Fair Catalog Scans
Kenner handed out catalogs to attendees of toy fairs and other events to promote their upcoming slate of products. Each catalog was filled with information about their newest toys, even ones still in development. Thus, they often provided the first looks at action figures, playsets, vehicles, and more from their lines. Therefore, they have become valuable and rare collector’s items.
These Kenner Toy Fair Catalogs featured toys from their beloved lines. For instance, their ground-breaking Star Wars toy line often appeared in these catalogs. Kenner also gave players the chance to live out superhero fantasies with the Super Powers action figures. Another of their beloved lines, M.A.S.K., also were featured in multiple catalogs. There were also other action figure lines like Centurions.
Kenner used in-production prototypes in their images, as these catalogs were prepared before the lines were released. This meant that the featured toys often differed from the retail releases. Moreover, toys sometimes appeared only on these catalog pages, as they were canceled or never hit retail store shelves.
While Kenner only handed these booklets out to trade professionals, we have now made them available to all. You can explore the toys featured in these catalogs with our Kenner Toy Fair Catalog Scans. This is a rare treat since catalogs like these have become increasingly difficult to locate with each passing year.
