Wheeljack’s Lab invites you to explore the exciting pages of the 1994 Toy Fair Catalog from Kenner. Even though Hasbro bought Kenner in 1991, they kept the company active until 2000. Up until that point, Kenner continued to release toys under their company banner, so they also handed out catalogs that only featured their toys. Meanwhile, their toys also appeared in Hasbro Toy Fair Catalogs, giving them even more exposure.
In 1994, Kenner focused their efforts on several different exciting toy lines. With Hollywood experimenting with superhero films, Kenner created the toy line for The Shadow, a character that gained fame in pulp novels. Since the movie was coming out that year, they dedicated several pages to the toy line.
Moreover, Kenner made a strong push with one of the most popular Superheroes from comics, Batman. With two toy lines, Legends of Batman and Batman: The Animated Series, there were pages of Batfun for fans.
This year also featured two of the greatest toy lines that defined Kenner in the 1990s. First, there were ALIENS toys, which featured several hybrids that took notes from the Dark Horse Comics. Then, there was the Predator toy line that also took notes from the comics. These lines converged with a ALIENS vs. Predator pack.
The other major toy line for 1994 was the exciting Jurassic Park toys that brought the magic home. So, fans could create pretend havoc with an electronic Tyrannosaurus Rex. This line also featured other notable dinosaurs, like Velociraptors and Triceratops.
