After the tin toy, Marusan began producing vinyl toys, creating a 9-inch Godzilla figure in 1966. This Godzilla figure began the iconic “Kaiju” series, opening the floodgates for various iterations of Godzilla and other monster figures.

The line was Godzilla’s Gang. It consisted of Godzilla, King Joe, Bemustar, Noko-Girin, Miclas, Eleking, Ikarusu Planeter, and Muruchi.
