Transformers, the 2007 film based upon Hasbro’s Transformers toy line, revitalized popular interest in the IP. Though it is divisive within the Transformers community, the movie was a hit and had an incredible amount of toys and merchandise created for it. The Transformers Movie 2007 line featured the reimagined likes of Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Ironhide, and even non-film characters, like Arcee. The main toy line featured brand new molds with an unprecedented complexity in transformation. The store-exclusive sub-line featured repaints of Unicron Trilogy figures to capitalize on the popularity of the film.
