Ted Turner founded this competitor to the WWF in 1988 after he acquired the NWA. Thus, networks owned by Turner Broadcasting System broadcasted the matches. This group featured a completely different set of wrestlers than those from the WWF, though a few appeared in both.

This 1992 Galoob Toy Fair Catalog page began with the WCW World Championship Wrestling 14” Super Poseable Wrestlers, No. 2505. These were giant, 14-inch-tall, fully poseable action figures. The set included 4 styles: Sting, Ric Flair, Sid Vicious, and Lex Luger. Each action figure had poseable elbows, shoulders, head, waist, and hips. They were also super detailed and included a removable championship belt.
Next, there was the WCW World Championship Wrestling Championship Belt, No. 2504, which kids could wear. This was an authentic, kid-sized replica of the real WCW Championship Title Belt. It could adjust to fit boys’ sizes 5 to 12. It also had quick-fasten strips for an easy, comfortable fit.

To promote their upcoming slate of products, Galoob handed out catalogs to attendees of toy fairs and other events. Each catalog was filled with information about their newest toys, even ones still in development. Thus, they often provided the first looks at action figures, playsets, vehicles, and more from their lines. Thus, they have become valuable and rare collector’s items.
These Galoob Toy Fair Catalogs featured toys from their beloved lines. For instance, the company took players to fantasy worlds with lines like the Infaceables and Blackstar. Then, the Defenders of the Earth featured Flash Gordon and other heroes ready to save the day. Other players could create adventures in space with the Adventures of Galaxy Rangers and Star Trek: The Next Generation toy lines. Galoob’s toys also delivered a smack-down with their WCW World Championship Wrestling line-up. The company also created a line-up of mutant aliens, the Biker Mice from Mars.
Galoob used in-production prototypes in their images, as these catalogs were prepared before the lines were released. This meant that the featured toys often differed from the retail releases. Moreover, toys sometimes appeared only on these catalog pages, as they were canceled or never hit retail store shelves.
