IRON LION™ was the man and the beast. A noble warrior and a gentle person, he transformed in battle to the snarling “King of the Jungle.” His sharp fangs glistened and his strong muscles tense like a cat ready to pounce. With the “Seal of the Lion” on his chest and the “Cutlass of Courage” in his hand, he lead his warriors against the forces of evil.
First, SPHINX™ was an ancient champion summoned from the Great Pyramid to join Iron Lion™ and the forces of goodness. In early times, he was renowned as an athlete of great skill and speed. Then, he discovered the secret texts that gave him the power of the snake: the power to change his face to that of a cobra and to strike with lightning speed and terrible poison.
Then, WAR DOG™ was a powerful fighter and a practical joker. His sense of humor made him popular with his comrades, but his wild temper prevailed when taunted or in danger. His face was transformed to that of a vicious dog and he was a whirlwind brandishing a huge sword against the forces of evil.
Finally, ROBASH™ was a robot programmed to protect the innocent. Because he was a machine, he was imperious to the elements of nature and the passing of the centuries. Through time, he fought for justice with his super robot strength. When battling, his facepiece transformed into the image of a human skull, striking fear into the cold hearts of his adversaries.

About Our Galoob Toy Fair Catalog Scans
To promote their upcoming slate of products, Galoob handed out catalogs to attendees of toy fairs and other events. Each catalog was filled with information about their newest toys, even ones still in development. Thus, they often provided the first looks at action figures, playsets, vehicles, and more from their lines. Thus, they have become valuable and rare collector’s items.
These Galoob Toy Fair Catalogs featured toys from their beloved lines. For instance, the company took players to fantasy worlds with lines like the Infaceables and Blackstar. Then, the Defenders of the Earth featured Flash Gordon and other heroes ready to save the day. Other players could create adventures in space with the Adventures of Galaxy Rangers and Star Trek: The Next Generation toy lines. Galoob’s toys also delivered a smack-down with their WCW World Championship Wrestling line-up. The company also created a line-up of mutant aliens, the Biker Mice from Mars.
Galoob used in-production prototypes in their images, as these catalogs were prepared before the lines were released. This meant that the featured toys often differed from the retail releases. Moreover, toys sometimes appeared only on these catalog pages, as they were canceled or never hit retail store shelves.
While Galoob only handed these booklets out to trade professionals, we have now made them available to all. You can explore the toys featured in these catalogs with our Galoob Toy Fair Catalog Scans. This is a rare treat since catalogs like these have become increasingly difficult to locate with each passing year.
