Galoob also brought Filmation’s The World of Blackstar to life with a large selection of action figures. Finally, there were a few Ghostbusters toys that Galoob presented in this catalog.
While the toys featured in this catalog were still in their prototype phase, they were in a state that illustrated the general look of the finished product. So, while there were some differences, they remain recognizable as the toys we know today.

To promote their upcoming slate of products, Galoob handed out catalogs to attendees of toy fairs and other events. Each catalog was filled with information about their newest toys, even ones still in development. Thus, they often provided the first looks at action figures, playsets, vehicles, and more from their lines. Thus, they have become valuable and rare collector’s items.
These Galoob Toy Fair Catalogs featured toys from their beloved lines. For instance, the company took players to fantasy worlds with lines like the Infaceables and Blackstar. Then, the Defenders of the Earth featured Flash Gordon and other heroes ready to save the day. Other players could create adventures in space with the Adventures of Galaxy Rangers and Star Trek: The Next Generation toy lines. Galoob’s toys also delivered a smack-down with their WCW World Championship Wrestling line-up. The company also created a line-up of mutant aliens, the Biker Mice from Mars.
Galoob used in-production prototypes in their images, as these catalogs were prepared before the lines were released. This meant that the featured toys often differed from the retail releases.
