Titanium

Deemed by many to be the biggest flop in Transformers history, the Transfomers Titanium line featured great use of die-cast metal. The line was produced by Hasbro’s Galoob subsidiary, lacking input from Takara and featuring minimal say from Hasbro’s Transformers team. These two facts resulted in figures with poor tolerances, unwieldy transformations, and awkward proportions. The line was cancelled early due to a lack of interest in the product. This series featured miniature non-transforming figurines alongside the larger transforming robots. Besides the failings of the line, its claim to fame is the fact that it is the only official release of figures using designs from Dreamwave Productions’ ‘The War Within” designs. No, the figures did not incorporate any titanium into their designs.
