To celebrate ten years of live-action Transformers movie, Hasbro decided to launch a new movie-focused brand, Studio Series, in 2018. Unlike some of the prior Transformers movie toys, this line would focus on creating screen-accurate figures with a consistent scale. The line originally featured only characters from the live-action films, but expanded to the original film in 2021 to celebrate the film’s 35th anniversary. Later, the line expanded in 2023 to include designs from High Moon Studio’s Transformer games and once again in 2024 to include film concept art designs. The line originally included the Deluxe, Voyager, and Leader size classes, and later included the Core scale with the debut of the Bumblebee movie Shockwave and Ravage in 2021, and the Commander scale in the 1986 film’s Ultra Magnus in 2023.
