In a bid to stir new interest in the Generations toy line, Hasbro launched the Reveal the Shield sub-line in 2010. Once again, rubsigns returned to the Transformers toy line, hiding the insignia until fingers applied heat to them. Thus, this toy line kept the classification of the toys, whether Autobot or Decepticon, hidden on the packaging. The line featured a unique medley of both film-style figures and Classics-style figures.
