Hasbro returned to the idea that Transformers could make great construction kits when they launched the Kre-O line in 2011. Once again, Transformers took the form of buildable figures that had two construction schemes, one for robot mode and one for vehicle mode. However, these toys did feature one distinctly new feature, small mini-figures that resembled the main Transformers characters, Kreons. Thus, the line sold either as larger sets with the full construction kit to simply the Kreons.
