Alternators

In 2003, Hasbro and Takara decided to introduce a new Transformers toy line that focused on hyperrealistic car mods, Alternators. Meanwhile, Takara’s version of the line was Binaltech. Each of these figures featured 1:24th scale licensed car models. Since the focus centered around the car modes, many of the robot modes held a unique look. Some toys that never had a car mode, like Ravage and Shockwave, also made it into the line.
