In 1976, Mego licensed the Microman toy line from Takara to introduce Micronauts to the American consumer. These toys became widely known for their wide range of articulation despite their small size. These action figures also had interchangeable five-millimeter connectors and ports. When Mego went under in 1982, they sold the molds for these toys to a number of other companies, like PAC toys.
