Mattel introduced the astronaut who lived on the moon, Major Matt Mason, in 1966. This toy line featured a total of four different astronauts, even though they shared a common mold. Aside from Mason, there was also Sgt. Storm, Doug Davis, and Jeff Long. Later, the series also introduced a few alien characters like Captain Lazer, to the line.
