GI Joe toys have come back several times throughout the decades, with many incarnations appearing in stores since 2000-current. Most notably, the 25th-anniversary line was released in 2007 and continued until 2009, celebrating the success of A Real American Hero. Hasbro also released toys that tied into live-action films like The Rise of Cobra in 2009 and Retaliation in 2013. The 50th anniversary for the entire toy line launched in 2014 and continued until 2016. Recently, several collectors have been hunting down the Retro Collection as well as the Classified series. There have also been new incarnations of the brand, like Sigma 6 which ran from 2005 to 2007.
