In 1986, Galoob created the toyline for the concurrent cartoon series, Defenders of the Earth. This series featured Flash Gordon as he joined with the titled defenders to protect the planet Mongo from Emperor Ming. While these toys only lasted for one season, they included many vehicles along with the action figures.
