Begin your journey through the 1987 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalog, which highlighted the massive success of G.I. Joe and Transformers in the 80s. This catalog includes exciting previews of the 1987 line-up. So, continue exploring to see some of the first previews that retailers saw of the newest action figures.
Hasbro began its coverage of the Ninja Warriors toys on page 112 of the 1987 Toy Fair Catalog. Unlike their G.I. Joe toys, the Ninja warriors celebrated the ancient Japanese warriors, Ninjas and Samurai. So, these toys fought with sais, axes, and other traditional weapons. Many of these characters also had Japanese names to coincide with their appearance.
Here, Hasbro presented #5200, the Ninja Warriors Enemies of Evil Assortment. This toy line featured masters of the martial art of Ninjutso. As the enemies of evil, the Ninja Warriors used their mental and physical prowess to avenge the evil that stalks the night. Each warrior also came from a proud family lineage of Ninja warriors dating back to ancient times. These toys featured poseable action. Moreover, they included three interchangeable weapons and a Ninja wardrobe.
