His other distinguishing physical characteristic was the ever-present sunglasses that he wore possibly because of an eye injury. He was a former top military commander who was ousted in a government coup. His military specialties included being an excellent military strategist known for his powers of deception.
GENERAL WARHAWK was a brilliant madman as well as a man without a country, trying to become ruler of the world. Before being exiled from his native land, he gained the rank of Captain. If he hadn’t been caught selling state secrets, he might have had a successful military career. However, exile became his destiny.
WARHAWK called himself “General”, but his S.A.V.A.G E. Army was a bizarre collection of outcasts and international criminals who threatened the safety of the world. “His battle plans are those of a military genius,” admitted COL. TRAUTMAN, whose hotline from the Pentagon lit up when THE GENERAL mounted another assault. That was when TRAUTMAN called on RAMBO and THE FORCE OF FREEDOM.
“No army has ever defeated S.A V.A.G.E.,” boasted the sinister GENERAL. “Someday I will rule the world, and RAMBO, too!”
