LJN proudly presented one of the first toy lines that brought the excitement of the WWF home, the Wrestling Superstars, on page 43 of the 1985 Toy Fair Catalog. After Richard Derwald of Buffalo, NY came up with the idea, he sold LJN on the concept of wrestling toys. Along with the action figures, LJN also produced bendies and thumb wrestling. This line went strong until LJN closed its toy division in 1989.
