Page 96 of the 1985 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalog continued featuring the G.I. Joe A Real American Hero action figures, accessories, and vehicles. Although Hasbro first introduced G.I. Joe in the 1960s, the toy line had disappeared by the end of the 1970s. Thanks to Bob Prupic’s persistence, his “Operation: Blast Off” led to the revitalization of the line.

This page featured assortment #6027: the COBRA Rattler (Ground Attack Jet), the most efficient, super-destructive, aerial attack plane. Its sole purpose was to engage in ground attacks on G.I. Joe outposts.
Its wings rotated 90⁰ for simulated vertical take-off and landing (V.T.O.L.). Then, three sets of combat rockets and six cluster bombs smashed tanks and blew up bridges. It also featured elevating dual 20 mm cannons and a rotating “Kerry” cannon that supplemented its winged explosives. Two canopies opened to allow figures easy access to each highly-detailed cockpit. Furthermore, it included retractable landing gear and free-rolling wheels as well as two removable battle-damaged fuselage panels for pretend repair.
This vehicle included a COBRA pilot, WILD WEASEL. Each assortment came with 6 pieces.
Next, Hasbro promoted assortment #6025: the Assault Copter (Dragonfly XH-1), which was primed with defense weapons. With its movable winch, the G.I. Joe’s Dragonfly XH-1 swooped down to save stranded troopers on the battlefield. Then, a spring-loaded switch activated the realistic rotor blade.
This vehicle included four removable “Scorpion” rockets, two removable “Dragonfire” missiles, and a chain gun cannon. Notably, the nose gun and flame thrower could rotate. The Canopy opened to a highly detailed, two-man cockpit. This package also included a copter pilot, WILD BILL. Each assortment included 6 pieces.
