The 1984 Mattel Toy Fair Catalog promoted a multitude of He-Man and Masters of the Universe action figures, vehicles, and playsets. This toy line propelled Mattel to new heights when it launched in 1982. He-Man became one of the most beloved characters by catalyzing the rising popularity of sword and sorcery media. Moreover, the company designed the bodies so that the molds could easily be reused to produce multiple characters. Mattel was ready to introduce many new action figures in 1984.
