This toy line propelled Mattel to new heights when it launched in 1982. He-Man became one of the most beloved characters by catalyzing the rising popularity of sword and sorcery media. Moreover, the company designed the bodies so that the molds could easily be reused to produce multiple characters. Mattel was ready to introduce many new action figures in 1984.

When players talked into the wolf’s head electronic microphone, their voices changed into a scary “voice of evil”! Thus, they became the wicked spirit of Snake Mountain! Moreover, players could work the dreadful demon’s jaw up and down, make the ‘Striking Snake” lash, out and terrify all comers!
This playset could even surprise any intruder with the secret trap door and catch him in a net when he falls! After that, players could shackle the captured enemy and hold him in prison! The Snake Mountain stronghold folded in half for easy carrying. Other features included an easy-to-defend narrow bridge, scaling ladder, and carrying handle. This toy was 19″ tall and required one 9-volt battery to function.
