The 1983 LJN Toy Fair Catalog advertised multiple Advanced Dungeons & Dragons action figures, monsters, and playsets. After TSR Hobbies, Inc. introduced the role-playing game in 1974, players loved to delve into the fanciful world. Thus, LJN proudly presented the first toys that brought these characters to life. This line included a wide array of toys, from action figures and monsters to a gigantic dungeon playset.

Here, they presented the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Collectible Assortments. These detailed and colorfully decorated pocket-sized figures brought the fantasy to life. LJN molded each figure in a dramatic action pose with weapons and staves to achieve this.
First was #1405, the Collectible “Good” Figure Assortment. This set included Strongheart Paladin, Elkhorn Dwarf Fighter, Mercion Cleric, and Ringlerun Wizard. Then, there was also #1400, the Collectible “Evil” Figure Assortment. This grouping included Kelek Sorcerer, Warduke Fighter, Zarak Half-Orc Assassin, and Skylla Magic User.
Next, they presented #1460, the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Puffy Stickers Assortment. Since puffy stickers were the rage, LJN saw nothing better than combining them with the premier name in a fantasy adventure. Each of these assortments included two self-liquidating counter/shelf displays. Then, each display contained 36 cards, with 12 of each of the 3 styles.
