Top 10 Epic Transformers Character Quotes
Wheeljack’s Lab has left Transformers character quotes in our Transformers buyers’ feedback on eBay for 2 decades. It’s some good natured fun rather than the boring feedback you normally see from people selling toys. With that in mind, we thought it might be fun to share our favorite epic Transformers quotes of all time.
Generally our top 10 lists are more vintage in nature, but we thought we’d open this up to the “whole universe,” if you will. Some of the choices are more content focused with a deeper meaning. Other quotes are life lessons to us all. While others are just because they are too funny not to include. The best are a combination which includes a great delivery by the voice actor.
#10 “Autobots are like bad fuel – weak and greasy.” Skullcruncher
A quote by Skullcruncher that no one would have expected. That quote has had some wives really scratching their heads when they read it in their eBay feedback. I have gotten more than one: “oh, okay I get it now” message.
#9 “Wait I Still Function!” Megatron
Uttered by Megatron as he is tossed from spaceship Astrotrain by Starscream in the 1986 movie.
#8 “You may lose your faith in us, but never in yourselves. From here, the fight will be your own.” Optimus Prime
When everything is going against the “good guys” in Dark of The Moon, it was time for a pep talk. Maybe more like a reality check for the humans, who up to this point had made their bed and Optimus Prime was going to let them sleep in it.
#7 “We can’t hold out forever, Kup, but we can give them one humongous repair bill.” Hot Rod
When Hot Rod and Kup are surrounded by seemingly endless Sharkticons in the 1986 movie, the “All American Boy,” Autobot makes the best he can of the situation and trashes as many Decepticons as possible.
#6 “He’s leaked lubricants all over my foot!” Ironhide
Comic relief is always appreciated when it is actually funny. Too often in movies, they seem to try too hard. While it wasn’t a bust out loud moment, it was funny. Mojo had some moments and this one with Ironhide is my favorite.
#5 “Fate rarely calls upon us at the moment of our choosing.” Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime’s words in Revenge of the Fallen couldn’t be truer for us all. Great opportunities don’t come around when it’s convenient. Seize the day!
#4 “Even in death, there is no command but mine.” Megatron
Another great line from Revenge of the Fallen. A quite fitting statement given the prior events up to that point.
#3 “One shall stand, one shall fall” Optimus Prime
A quote that was put out there more than a few times by Optimus, if you have watched and read everything Transformers. I remember it best from the original 1986 movie.
#2 “Autobots, roll out” Optimus Prime
When I hear that phrase it’s almost like in some languages when hello and goodbye are the same word. Perhaps it’s just my affinity for the toys.
#1“Welcome, Megatron” Unicron
Back in 1986 Orson Welles just killed that delivery. That’s the natural delivery that most deep voice actors can only try to deliver.
