This 1988 Hasbro Toy Fair Catalog page promoted number 6032, the Warthog A.I.F.V. (Amphibious Infantry Fighting Vehicle). The Warthog stormed the beachhead in an ambitious invasion of Cobra Island with the undefeatable SGT. SLAUGHTER at the controls. This 9-man personnel carrier featured missiles with removable nose cones, opening side doors, and figure access hatches. Then, there was a removable engine cover, rotating machine gun, rolling wheels, positionable missile rack, and tow hook.
Next, there was number 6004, the G.I. Joe R/C Crossfire. This was G.I. Joe’s most advanced assault jeep that patrolled the desert for Cobra scout units. This remote-controlled attacker came with a 7-function control module and twin-lever joystick and could be controlled from up to 70 feet. Crossfire also featured a crash bumper, louver/cage, positionable twin machine gun, 2 removable rockets, contoured rear wing/spoiler, and 2 pivoting machine guns. Moreover, it had a flexible whip antenna, all-terrain tires, an independent spring suspension system, recharging jack for Ni-Cad batteries. It also came with a G.I. Joe driver, RUMBLER.
