The 1986 Kenner Toy Fair Catalog highlighted the various action figures and vehicles from the M.A.S.K. (Mobile Armored Strike Command) line. While Kenner put its name on the map with licensed toys like Star Wars, M.A.S.K. allowed it to create a unique product. This line featured human drivers who came with their associated transforming vehicles. Meanwhile, the members of M.A.S.K. fought against the evil forces of V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem).

Here, Kenner promoted the Outlaw Vehicle, a snake oil tanker that became a mobile headquarters. Oil Tankers are imposing enough, but the VENOM OUTLAW was downright lethal. The tanker top rotated back to reveal the powerful rattler fire howitzer, which swiveled up or down and side to side. It could also fire long-range poison pod shells (2 included). The tanker top became a computer command center with dual radar scanners.
Then, the chassis completed the headquarters with two sliding console cockpits, one with an oscillating periscope. Meanwhile, the other had a tilt-up control panel and removable power pack with cable hook-up. The front cab had power unto itself with a fanged grappling hook launcher that can be raised and activated when the cab was flipped forward.
Ready to attack BOULDER HILL, the OUTLAW came with 2 articulated figures:
- The megalomaniac MILES MAYHEM with a removable PYTHON mask, which pretended to send out coiled tentacles to entrap enemy agents,
- NASH GOREY was a VENOM counter-espionage agent. His removable POWERHOUSE mask pretended to allow him to multiply his strength.
