The 1985 Tonka Toy Fair Catalog was a gateway for trade professionals, like dealers and retailers, to Tonka’s latest action figures. This Tonka Toy Fair Catalog showcased the GoBots, a revolutionary line of robot action figures that offered the thrill of transforming fun. Introduced to the market in 1983 after Tonka licensed the robots from a Japanese company, Popy, the GoBots were a hit. Tonka released several GoBot classes of various sizes, including the Super GoBots. They also unveiled playsets, such as the epic war between the Friendly robots led by Leader-1 and the Enemy robots led by Cy-Kill.
Beyond the Gobots, this Tonka Toy Fair Catalog featured many more toys. Tonka created a selection of Mighty Cycles. This catalog also featured the company’s famous Trucks and Powered Action vehicles.
