Battle Beasts was a joint Hasbro/Takara developed action figure line from 1987. Three waves of Battle Beasts figures, a total of 76 figures, were produced in the West. Japan continued production by adding 36 Laser Beasts, the first 12 being called Shadow Beasts in some Hasbro markets.
