Tonka produced GoBots toys beginning in 1983. The Gobots toys were based on figures produced by Popy of Japan, although Tonka decided to make these figures sentient robots. The robot figures transform into a mixture of generic and specific branded machines. The most popular action figures consist of: Monsterous, Cop-Tur, Cy-Kill, and Leader-1.
