In 1982, Remco created and released the Sgt Rock toys to store shelves across America. These toys took inspiration from the pages of DC Comics. There, Sergeant Franklin “Frank” John Rock was a World War II veteran. However, Remco also included several other soldiers and other characters, such as the Airman and the Cowboy.
