As Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves hit theater screens in 1991, Kenner produced the action figures to help promote the film. This toy line lasted for only one series, but it included most of the characters from the film. Thus, Friar Tuck and Little John could combine forces to battle against the Sherrif of Nottingham.
