Bandai America imported several of the toys from Popy, like Chogokin and Popinika, as Godaikin from 1982 to 1985. Some of these action figures also appeared in Mattel’s Shogun Warriors toy line from the 1970s. However, since Bandai had been the originator, they decided to bring back their original toys to the United States.
