About Tonka Super Naturals Action Figure Toys
Tonka produced the Super Naturals in 1986. They featured holograms and glow in the dark weapons. Setting both heroic and evil warriors against each other after being sealed in the Tomb of Doom for hundreds of years. Now as ghosts they do battle once more. The heroes were led by Lionheart and the villains by Skull. The toy line only lasted for one year.

Bio: I’m the founder and owner of Wheeljack’s Lab. My vision has always been to reunite customers with their favorite childhood toys, triggering fond memories and reigniting their imaginations. Every day I work in the “lab” where it’s Christmas 365 days a year; scouring the internet – like we did the Sears Catalog of yesteryear – for the next great treasure, awaiting the arrival of the postman as if he was Santa Claus himself and helping collectors worldwide with their own versions of Christmas. Every day as a vintage toy buyer is an absolute joy!
I’m looking for more information about the process of making the holograms for the super naturals. i assume there must be little sculptures/models they photographed to make the holograms. would be really cool to see what the original sculptures looked like. Are there any photos of those out there?
