We recently received a collection of vintage Tonka Spiral Zone prototypes, pre-production toys, and memorabilia from a former Tonka Executive! The collection included some Spiral Zone – this is just a sample, not all are shown. The collection included pre-production mock-ups, hardcopies, first shots, test shots, engineering pilots, unproduced & unreleased prototype toys & MORE!
Spiral Zone Prototypes and Pre-production Toys for Sale
If you would like to sign up to be notified when our Spiral Zone goes up for sale click here. This includes hardcopy prototypes of Bandit, Dirk, Duchess Dire, Hiro Taka, Max Jones, Overlord, Razorback, Reaper, and Tank. Not only hardcopy prototypes, but mock-up wax sculpts of each. Even better are the hard copies, which show the changes they made to at least 4 of the characters. Then there are paint masters hardcopies and even Pantographs. Do I have Zone Riders Anastacia, Tucker, or Franklin, Black Widows Crook, and Raw Meat? Maybe the Zone Generator playset? Sadly no.

Bio: I’m the founder and owner of Wheeljack’s Lab. My vision has always been to reunite customers with their favorite childhood toys, triggering fond memories and reigniting their imaginations. Every day I work in the “lab” where it’s Christmas 365 days a year; scouring the internet – like we did the Sears Catalog of yesteryear – for the next great treasure, awaiting the arrival of the postman as if he was Santa Claus himself and helping collectors worldwide with their own versions of Christmas. Every day as a vintage toy buyer is an absolute joy!
