Tigersharks

The LJN TigerSharks toy line was released in 1987 to support the animated TigerSharks series. Featuring innovative Transformatic Action figures that transformed from human to aquatic creatures, the line had an extremely limited release, making it one of the rarest and most desirable 1980s action figure collections. Only eight figures were produced: Mako, Dolph, Doc Walro, Lorca, Bronc, T-Ray, Captain Bizarrly, and Spike Marlin, with complete and carded examples considered grail pieces by collectors.

Several additional figures, vehicles, and playsets—including the SharkHammer, Saw Bill Cycle, Dragonstein, Fishtank Playset, The Sark, Walleye, Shad the Bad, and Grunt—were advertised but never released, with only a few prototypes known to exist. Today, the LJN TigerSharks line remains one of the most sought-after vintage toy collections, prized by fans of 1980s cartoons, rare action figures, prototype collectibles, and LJN Toys for its scarcity, unique transformation features, and unreleased prototypes.
