Kenner produced the Stretch Armstrong toy line in 1976. They created these toys out of latex rubber and filled them with gelled corn syrup. This allows the toys to keep the new shape for a short time before shrinking to their original shape. The ‘Basic Series’ consisted of five action figures – Ollie Octopus, Stretch Armstrong, Stretch X-Ray, Stretch Serpent, and Spiderman.
