In the early 1960s, two friends, Arnau and Campos, rescued a struggling plastics manufacturing company in Spain named Madel (Manufacturas Delgado). Arnau, the son of Exin Bros founder, initiated a venture into toys, creating a unique six-inch “poseable doll” with human-articulated joints. Emerged from 1982 to 1984, was a new body type reminiscent of G.I. Joe’s. Madelman figures were later manufactured in Mexico by Exinmex, with some variations. Known for fragility, their appeal lies in exceptional poseability. Madelman ceased production in 1984, leaving a lasting legacy as collectibles worldwide, celebrated for quality accessories and diverse figures like astronauts, pirates, cowboys, and more. Today, Madelman’s unique line captivates collectors globally.
