Mattel released the Big Jim action figure line in 1977. Along with the action figures, several vehicles, clothes, accessories, and playsets were released as well. These figures were based on “adventure”. Arctic Rescue, Avalanche Patrol, Camping Tent, Camping Set, and Daredevil Skyjump were a few of these adventure-themed playsets. There were different versions of Big Jim that were launched as action figures as well – Diver, Explorer, Karate, Soccer, and Sports.
