The 1996 Jump Attack Jujitsu Raph is a 4.5-inch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure from Playmates Toys, featuring a comic book-inspired design based on the darker Mirage Studios comics. Raphael has a muscular sculpt, bright red bandana, black shell, silver-studded wrist guards, and brown wraps, along with a spring-loaded Ninja Action mechanism that launches him into a flip-and-kick attack. The 1996 version also features a brighter green plastic color and slightly glossier shell finish.
The 1996 reissue was packaged with two dark silver sais on a bright green Ninja Powers blister card. Playmates made several tooling changes, including smoother torso alignment details, thicker hands, and smaller internal arm and leg pegs, making the 1996 Jujitsu Raph distinct from the original 1993 release and an interesting variation for vintage TMNT toy collectors.
