The 1996 Lifeguard Leo is a vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure reissued by Playmates Toys as part of the Ninja Power subline. Originally released in 1992 as a Sewer Spitting Turtle, this 5-inch Leonardo retains the same beach-themed design, including his yellow lifeguard vest, green swim shorts, white visor, and blue mask with swim goggles. His water-squirting gimmick allows him to draw in water and spray it from his mouth.
The 1996 Lifeguard Leo TMNT figure includes the original beach-themed accessories: Katana Blade Umbrella, Bionic Binoculars, Mutant Megaphone, Slappy Soda Bottle/Sludge Bottle, and Life Guard Ring Backpack water reservoir. The 1996 reissue uses bright Ninja Power packaging instead of the original 1992 card design and includes a sheet of TMNT stickers and instructions. With its unchanged figure and accessories but distinctive 1996 packaging, this Lifeguard Leo is a notable vintage TMNT collectible for Playmates Toys collectors.
