The 1996 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Head-Droppin' Raph is a late-era variant reissue from Playmates Toys’ Ninja Power assortment. The figure uses the same mold as the 1992 Head Droppin' Raph, including the molded soda pop top on his head. Pressing his head down locks it inside the shell, while squeezing his legs activates the spring mechanism to pop it back up.
The figure includes the Sewer Spy Scope, Sewer-Lid Shield, and Scorpion Sai, retaining the unusual accessories from the earlier release. The 1996 version can be identified by its Ninja Power packaging, replacing the classic purple brick cardback. Its late-era release and distinctive packaging make it a notable vintage collectible for Playmates toy collectors and completionists.
