The 1996 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Head-Droppin' Leo is a late-era variant reissue from Playmates Toys’ Ninja Power assortment. The figure uses the same mold as the 1992 Head Droppin' Leo, including the molded sewer cover cap on his head. Squeezing his legs makes his head spring out of the shell, while manually pushing it down locks it back into place.
The figure includes the Garbage Can Scope, Sewer Lid Shield, and Bullfrog Slingshot, retaining the unusual accessories from the original release. The 1996 version can be identified by its Ninja Power packaging, making it a notable late-era vintage collectible for Playmates toy collectors.
