The 1994 Lunar Leonardo is a vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the Apollo 11 Turtles subline. Created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing, Leonardo is reimagined as a NASA-inspired astronaut in a specialized spacesuit. The figure is identified on the packaging as “The Moonleapin’ Mutant Master Lunar Leonardo,” giving the classic TMNT character an out-of-this-world theme.
The Lunar Leonardo TMNT figure includes a no-leak super-seal space helmet, self-contained environmental pack (SEP) with hero hose, and Astro-American flag. Combining Leonardo's signature character with an Apollo 11-inspired space exploration theme, the 1994 Lunar Leonardo is a distinctive vintage TMNT collectible from Playmates Toys' Apollo 11 Turtles lineup.
