Creature from the Black Lagoon Leonardo is a 1994 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates as part of the Universal Studios Monsters series. Inspired by Universal’s classic Creature from the Black Lagoon, the figure gives Leonardo a swamp-monster appearance and comes with three themed accessories: a Seaweed Katana Blade, Hideous Harpoon Gun, and Terror Tearin’ Trident. The set also included an exclusive TMNT collector card.
Released alongside other horror-themed characters such as Invisible Man Michelangelo, The Mutant Raphael, and Bride of Frankenstein April, this Leonardo figure combines the familiar TMNT character with classic Universal Monsters imagery. Its distinctive creature design, movie-inspired theme, and specialized weapons make this 1994 Leonardo toy a memorable vintage collectible for fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Universal Monsters, and Playmates figures.
