Centurions Skybolt Air Assault Weapon System (1986)

Skybolt is a vintage Centurions Heavy Assault Weapon System released by Kenner for Ace McCloud, the team's aerial specialist. Designed for high-speed air combat, Skybolt equips Ace with advanced flight technology, powerful turbines, and precision weapons.

The system features a Back Thruster Unit, rotating Chest Unit, Heat-Seeking Missile Launchers, and Modular Invertible Wings that can be configured in either forward-swept or backward-swept positions. The wing system allows collectors to recreate different flight configurations from the animated series.

Skybolt includes multiple interactive features, including a turbine-powered action that activates through the Back Thruster Unit and drives the Chest Shaft. Rotating the Chest Unit shaft activates additional movements, including pulsating the Anti-Radar Deflector and rotating the Infrared Detector. Loaded missile launchers can fire Heat-Seeking Missiles using either the dedicated launch button or a secondary chest-mounted activation method.

Today, Skybolt remains a highly collectible Centurions action figure accessory, valued by Kenner collectors, fans of 1980s modular action figures, and enthusiasts of the original animated series, especially complete examples with the wings, missiles, thruster unit, and chest components.
