Road Ready Splinter is a vintage TMNT transforming action figure released by Playmates Toys in 1993 as part of the Road Ready Mutations sub-line. This unique Splinter figure transforms from the wise rat sensei into a miniature version of the iconic Party Wagon. In Splinter mode, he wears a purple robe, while the vehicle mode becomes a yellow-and-green turtle van with rolling wheels, a tiny steering wheel, pop-up hands, and a decorative turtle detail on top.
The 1993 Road Ready Splinter vintage TMNT figure includes transforming accessories such as the Mutatin’ Hub Cap, which becomes a Ninja Star or manhole-cover shield, and the Mutatin’ Cane, which doubles as an anti-theft steering wheel lock. The set also includes a small green Retromutagen Ooze canister, adding another signature element to this unusual transforming figure from the classic vintage TMNT toyline.
