Road Ready Shredder is a vintage TMNT transforming action figure released by Playmates Toys in 1993 as part of the Road Ready Mutations sub-line. This unique Shredder figure “mutates” from the helmeted Foot Clan villain into a rolling Mutant Module machine. The character’s limbs fold and tuck away during transformation, concealing his body and revealing a free-wheeling vehicle with Shredder positioned in the driver’s seat. His character bio describes the machine as reaching 80 TPH (Turtles Per Hour) .
The 1993 Road Ready Shredder vintage TMNT figure came with several specialized accessories, including the Mutatin’ Jack, which transforms into a Lethal Lube Gun, and a Nose Drill Shield that attaches to the front of the vehicle. The set also includes a Retromutagen Ooze canister and Road Ready Mutation Chart, making this transforming Shredder figure a distinctive entry in the classic vintage TMNT toyline.
