The 1992 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie Star Don action figure was released by Playmates Toys as part of the popular Movie Star Turtles subline. Designed to resemble the textured appearance of the Jim Henson animatronic Turtle suits from the live-action TMNT films, this Donatello action figure features a soft, rubbery skin material that distinguishes it from the hard-plastic figures of the original 1988 line.
The Movie Star Don came with two Bodacious Bo Staves, a Flick Fire Extinguisher, Tinseltown Trashcan Shield, Ooze Canister, Ninja Stars, and a Weapon Belt. Although the package cardback is dated 1991, the figure was widely released in 1992, making this vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collectible a notable Movie Star Turtles release.
