Centurions Depth Charger Sea Assault Weapon System (1986)

Depth Charger is a vintage Centurions Heavy Assault Weapon System released by Kenner in 1986 for Max Ray, the team's underwater specialist. Designed as a fully submersible combat vehicle, Depth Charger transforms Max Ray into an advanced aquatic warrior equipped for underwater missions.

The system features a powerful underwater vehicle design with two maneuverable pontoons, additional thrusters for surface travel, a rotating periscope, and four adjustable fins. Its weapons include two Sea Torpedoes, a Hydro Mine, and two Aqua Cannons. The Sea Torpedoes and Hydro Mine are interchangeable and can be launched from either compatible launcher.

Depth Charger includes multiple interactive features, including button-activated torpedo launches, Hydro Mine deployment, and a periscope mechanism that activates the chest-mounted weapon system when connected to a Centurions figure. Unlike many other Assault Weapon Systems, Depth Charger is not compatible with the Centurions Power Pack accessory.

Today, Depth Charger is a highly collectible Centurions toy, valued by Kenner collectors, fans of 1980s action figures, and vintage toy enthusiasts, especially when complete with the Aqua Thruster Backpack, torpedoes, Hydro Mine, and original accessories.
