The 1991 Talkin’ Michelangelo is a vintage 4.5-inch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figure released by Playmates Toys as part of the Talkin’ Turtles subline. Michelangelo features a bulky sewer-lid backpack with a mechanical voice feature activated by pulling plastic Quip Strips through the figure.
The Talkin’ Michelangelo includes Sausage Nunchukus, Ninja Spear, Phrase Flag, and two Quip Strips featuring phrases such as “Kowabunga” and “Pizza Time.” The fully mechanical talking feature requires no batteries, making this 1991 Playmates TMNT figure a distinctive vintage collectible.
